Introduction

Welcome to the Schmidtmann Family (of Rochester NY) webpage. Our family (the Schmidtmann part at least) came over from Germany during the great depression and has staked its claim in and around the city of Rochester, New York. We have managed to keep the family small and in close contact. This website is where we can all view our family photos and keep updated on what is going on with everybody. It also gives us a forum to list our favorite websites and share our different business/recreational websites with each other. If you see anything that you think needs more info, or if something is wrong or missing all together, please email me or Carl to get things fixed. Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas 2009 Gift list and this years game: The Guessing Game

Ok. So this will be our 6th year of having fun games at Christmas. The past years have been a huge success - check out the Christmas page for details. For 2009 we are going to try a new angle with the Guessing game - splitting to multipe chances to win for the first time. Ok so here it is:

- The objective is to fill some kind of container with objects that fit the individuals interest, of which they then have to guess how many items are inside.

- Try to stay within a $15 budget

- Items should be something that a specific person might like/enjoy, the container does not have to be transparent (they could guess by shaking it). It doesnt have to be completely filled with one item - be creative to win!!

- The voting will be determined as usual, and you can't vote for yourself (and only one vote per person Bill). This time the person who has the best guess on how many items are present (based on %) will get a split of the prize! The vote should be on creativity, how well they define the person's interests/career, and how cool the gifts are.

Updates on Frank and Bahar's House

So, Bahar and I finally bought a house. Its still being built so I thought everyone would like to see the progress, check out the photos:
